They are a good, sturdy fabric with double knees, excellent for your hard-playing little man. Even though it provides a little extra in the waist with the elastic section, the section for the 'rump' is narrow and pulls at the pockets for my little one. He is typically a 7, but thought to go up a size for his ample bottom, to no avail. They wash very well and do NOT need ironing between wears.
