Customer Rating: Summary: Super printer Comment: Great little printer, if you know its limitations. I use it mainly to print out checks. Much better than hand-written. It is noisy, but what printer isn't. I would recommend this for small jobs. The printer is a bit larger than I imagined, but it fits nicely into a pull-cart.
Customer Rating: Summary: Canon iP100 Comment: The printer is a perfect size for traveling - I don't need the battery, so it's a good weight too.
It produces great quality prints, albeit a little slow and the printer processor seems to require a lot of time to "think"
Customer Rating: Summary: Just what I wanted! Comment: I had researched the IP v90 for almost a year before the IP 100 came out and I'm so glad I waited. The set up was easy, the output is fantastic and I couldn't ask for a better printer to travel with.
I may not use its photo printing capabilities to its fullest since I have a regular home printer (another Canon) but it's good to know I have the option.
One small nitpicky thing though...I still don't understand why these companies do not include a printer cable with their products. They're cheap enough to come with the product so why not include it?
Customer Rating: Summary: Great printer: incredibly fast, accurate color, great text Comment: This is a fantastic little printer. It is very small and light, and I can easily carry it around in my backpack (which is really helpful.) Setup is a little confusing and you need to be really careful when you install the print head, but when it is over, you won't have to worry about it ever again. Text is accurate and bold, and images show no banding and are very sharp (not full page U.S. letter ones though.) When printing images on glossy paper, they look amazing, and it is done very fast. About 1 minute for a 3x5 and about 4 minutes for a 8x10. An overall great printer. It will cost you a little bit though. I think its worth it, because I need the portability.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent printer - Here is info on bluetooth adapter; case. Comment: We bought this little gem to take to Europe. First impressions are very favorable. It's small, reliable, and prints beautifully. At just over four pounds, it's perfect for travel.
The little Bluetooth adaptor also works very well. Reading the manual (!), I discovered it is possible to mount the adapter permanently inside the printer so that it's not exposed and doesn't need attachment every time it is used. This is a simple procedure, and enhances the usefulness of the Bluetooth capability that is all but de rigueur when traveling. The installation / setup information is also in the electronic manual that comes on the CD.
But as good as the printer is, it does not come with (nor does Canon offer) a case of any kind. I found the perfect solution - from Case-Mate: go to http://www.case-mate.com/laptop/macbookpro15/15gblackcases2 and buy the 'Glovez 15"' sleeve (like a large envelope with a velcro closure / flap). It comes in an assortment of colors and is a skin-tight (but very workable) fit in the 'length' direction. When inserted, the printer doesn't take up every bit of the case in the 'width' direction, meaning there is just enough room to also accommodate the cord and AC brick. Throw these in, close the flap, and you're always ready to roll.
Best part: this 'Glovez' sleeve is only $9.99 + $3.99 S/H, and gets to you in a few days. It's not bulky - just what one wants to protect the printer but not take up room. (As an aside, the Case-Mate Glovez 13" [for the MacBook 13" and Air] fits the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 perfectly).

The rugged, compact iP100 Mobile Printer delivers remarkable quality and print-anywhere portability. Its patented print head technology and 5-color ink system let you create spectacular photos with 9600 x 2400 color dpi resolution (maximum). A photo lab quality 4" x 6" borderless print takes only about 55 seconds. It offers IrDA compatibility and an optional BU-20 Bluetooth interface, so you can print wirelessly from a PC, PDA or camera phone. Or, connect a digital camera and print photos direct - no PC required! Plus, the Auto Image Fix feature corrects images for the best possible exposure, color, brightness and contrast.
