Summary: Really Does Stop 99% of My Snoring
Comment: My wife loves this pillow. It really has stopped over 99% of my snoring. My wife should know; she is a light sleeper.
It works.
Two caveats:
1) It does take a week or so to break it in. During this time it will be too fat and firm causing neck and ear discomfort. The sales clerk advised using it to lean against to break it in. This helped!
2) It loses it's shape after a year and a half or so and becomes less effective. I am replacing mine for that reason. Expensive, but my wife says it is money well spent!

Summary: Horrible Product
Comment: This is one of the worst products I've ever purchased and even though there are literally thousands of unsatisfied buyers of this product Brookstone will not stand behind their product. It is extremely uncomfortable and left me with headaches that lasted for days and I only used it for about an hour. The Brookstone employees did not care to hear about the problems with their product only the fact that you can't bring it back. Never again will I buy from Brookstone if they do not care about quality, design or most importantly customer satisfaction.

Summary: I like it
Comment: I had looked at this in the store, but probably wouldn't have bought it if my sister hadn't given it to me for Christmas. It took a while to get used to it, but I like this pillow very much. It is decidedly odd. You aren't supposed to sleep on the middle portion of the pillow at all (which is mounded so high that it is uncomfortable to do so, but rather on one of the side "wings." If you want to turn over from one side to the other, you have to roll all the way over the central hump to the other side. This seemed odd at first but now I am used to it. I do not find the position illustrated, with the lower arm under the pillow, at all comfortable, however. I stick my arm out to the side. Nevertheless, the way the bottom of the pillow cups the shoulder makes it exceedingly comfortable, the best pillow for side sleeping that I've tried. I have a memory foam contoured pillow, and I've given it up instead of this. Regular pillowcases don't fit well, however.

Summary: Caused neck pains; no returns allowed
Comment: If you sleep ONLY on your side, this pillow is fine in terms of comfort. However, if you roll to your back, it is so big and fluffed out that it presses your neck forward with your chin moving towards your chest. I woke up several times with major neck pain because of it being simple too fluffy. There's also no meaninful neck support while sleeping on your back. I had a terrible experience and to top it off, Brookstone wouldn't allow me to return it. I was very unhappy with this experience. Should've known better when they said you couldn't return it.

Summary: Finally We Both Sleep All Night Long!
Comment: I've complained about my husband's snoring for years. It's legendary among our family, and a few of our neighbors, too. (Yes, he snores THAT loudly, and when the windows are open in the warmer months he takes quite a ribbing from the folks next door for keeping them awake at night, too.)

We've tried everything to stop the snoring: those nasty sprays, the nasal strips, even ping-pong balls sewn into the back of his pajama top. (He just shucked the top off and kept snoring away.)

Since he'd adamantly refused to get a CPAP mask, I'd about reached the point where we were going to have separate bedrooms. Honestly, I hate the thought of that. How would I warm up my cold toes in winter if he wasn't there in bed next to me so I could stick them on his back? And don't get me started on the other parts of our life that separate bedrooms would detrimentally affect.

I'd heard about this pillow on a local news program that does consumer reviews of products. The woman who'd bought it for HER husband said it worked like a charm, but after hearing the price I remained skeptical. A year later, though, I couldn't handle the snoring any more. This pillow was, I decided, our last effort before getting those separate bedrooms.

The first night it arrived we both stood looking at the shape of it and wondering whether he'd actually use it. To be honest, it doesn't look comfortable at all. But, as the manufacturer states, there is a learning curve involved in using the thing: we figured that meant reaching a point where he was so exhausted that he'd sleep on the pillow regardless of its comfort.

We needn't have worried. From the very first night this thing has stopped his snoring. He's both a side- and stomach-sleeper, so the upside down U-shaped conformed well to his sleeping position. Like the man in the picture, he just tucks his arm underneath and snoozes away. The U keeps the front half of his face pointed more toward the mattress than the back of his head, which means his tongue isn't rattling against the soft tissues in the back of his throat. (That's what causes snoring.)

I love, love, love this thing. I love being able to sleep throughout the night without having to elbow him anymore. He loves waking up well-rested and bruise-free. We both agree this pillow is worth every penny. It's the stuff of good dreams for all, all night long.
