Summary: Very satisfying product.
Comment: I received my product just as my period started so I got to use it right away. It took me two days to get the hang of how to put it in correctly without it leaking. It is great, its a hell of a lot easier to me than tampons you need carry with you everywhere. I don't use a purse so that was a problem for me. I'm glad I purchased this product. It is easy to maintain. I don't feel like I'm adding more trash to the earth. Very satisfied.

Summary: No good for heavy flow
Comment: I got this, and based on other reviews, on this website, and DivaCup's own website, it seemed like a no brainer.
However, my flow is very heavy the second and third days, and this thing filled up to capacity after just a couple hours. And when it's filled to capacity, it definitely leaks.
I much prefer tampons.

Summary: You'll Never Go Back
Comment: Yes, it sounds odd. Yes, it sounds a bit...gross. But I'm telling you, once you get used to it (it is a little odd at first), you'll never go back to disgusting pads & tampons again!
A coworker once told me about this, and I was skeptical. It sounded messy, and I didn't know if I could get past it. I decided to order one and give it a try. Now, I'm so hooked that when I was recently on vacation and realized I hadn't brought mine, I quickly ordered a new one online and had it shipped to me immediately. I couldn't bear using a tampon again, even if just for a few days.
You can go most of the day without even changing it, there is no smell, I haven't experienced ANY leakage (although some women say they do--I think it might be that they don't have it inserted properly). I absolutely love it. I mean, periods are not fun, let's face it. But at least with this, it's a lot less disgusting.

Comment: The Divacup has changed my life. I used to get horrible cramps and found both pads and tampons to be very uncomfortable and irritating. With the Divacup, my cramps are pretty much non-existent, I only have to empty it twice a day and I have no irritation at all. In my year of use I have never had any leaks, it opens easily and removal is simple. I wish I'd started using it years ago - I could have saved myself so much money, trouble and waste.
Yes, the Divacup can take some practice and it might take you a few cycles to get used to it. There are some fantastic message boards and communities online that you can look up for advice on insertion and care - these probably helped me avoid many of the problems some women experience (getting it to pop open correctly, breaking suction, etc.).
