Summary: Perhaps one of the worst albums ever recorded
Comment: I've been a big Madonna fan since 1983. I was excited, when I bought the album. What a huge disappointment! It seems that Madonna could not wait any longer to fulfill her contractual obligations to Time Warner and in doing so she put out a terrible album.
The heavy beats and over produced music makes drowns out her already thin and weak voice. Her singing sounds empty and lifeless. The lyrics are cliched; Madonna, we've been there and done that with you already. Forwarding within and between songs hoping to find a decent song is not possible; each song sounds has the same annoying and awful beats and music. Hard Candy is one of the worst CDs I own. It's a shame that at this point in her 25-year career Madonna put out her worst album. She jumped the shark!

Summary: Synthy, poppy, groovy
Comment: People might think this is Madonna's attempt at a hip hop album because of '4 Minutes', but this CD offers a huge array of sound. The urban producers who Madonna brought in to make this project actually manupulated their sound toward her style, and it works great! There are a lot of hot beats and synths in this album, and Madonna always sings a fun melody. My favourite tracks are Give it 2 me, Miles Away, Heartbeat, Incredible, Beat Goes On, Dance 2night, Devil Wouldn't Recgonize you, and Voices... excellent work again Madonna!

Comment: Madonna's new cd is a combination of old and new sounds. My favorite songs on this cd are incredible and give it to me. I'm a die hard Madonna fan, but this cd isn't quite five star worthy.

Summary: "Her voice is high and thin"?-GREAT !!
Comment: Her CD has not left my player for 6 months now and I cant' get enough of "Hard Candy". I adore it for one simple reason - Madonna's return to using her "high and thin" voice (as one reviewer described) has me reminiscing the early days when the Queen of Pop broke onto the scene with "Like A Virgin". I fell in love with that airy-girlish-playful voice ! Madonna's return to using "the voice" transports me away from all the stress & seriousness of daily living. If I want serious, great vocals, I'll listen to music by Whitney Houston or Joni Mitchell.
Simple , Sticky & Sweet is just what the world needs today !

Comment: Like the music. Can't stand to look at the Cover of the CD. What was she thinking. Have to hide CD cover from my kids. Yuck!
