Customer Rating: Summary: Not very fun the first time through... Comment: I've been trying to find a video that would help me get back into shape. Most of the ones I've tried (Tae Bo DVDs specifically... horrible, horrible, pain...lol) have been too challenging since I have been working an office job for 2 years, a switch from doing a much more physical job for several years. I first tried out Sweatin' To The Oldies 1 about a month ago. I really enjoyed the product and found it easy to follow and easy for me to do, so I decided to check out Sweatin' To The Oldies 2. I had heard it was a bit more of a challenge, but as far as I can see, the only bit that's more challenging is trying to follow the moves! The camera is all over the place. It's almost impossible to get all the moves the first time through the DVD. I really felt I got a better workout with Sweatin' To The Oldies 1, simply because I could actually figure out what I was supposed to be doing. Some of the dance moves in 2 were a bit complicated to do in my opinion- but maybe I'm just very uncoordinated. I did, however, like the song dedicated to simple arm workouts-- If that bit were in the first Sweatin' To The Oldies, I probably would not have even bothered with the second one. I'm giving #2 3 stars because of the arm workout, and the fact that it would probably be good fun if you had the patience to watch it over and over again until you had the moves memorized.
P.S.- If you DO buy this, make sure you have a straight backed chair and two 16 ounce bottles or light hand weights handy when you start the DVD.
Customer Rating: Summary: great exercise video Comment: What I like about this video is that because each song/routine is somewhat separate you don't have to continue for the full time, you can dance/exercise to a few and then stop and rest. As you build your stamina, you can simply do additional segments and can easily track your progress.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not as good as the first video Comment: This exercise video is okay, but the camera needs to focus more on the footwork and less on the upper body movements. I found this video somewhat hard to follow along.
Customer Rating: Summary: Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies Vol. 2 Comment: I have always enjoyed Richard and this is better than the first one. More workout less nonsense
