Summary: Good Image with some design shortfalls
Comment: This is the first time I ever used one of these night vision scopes. First thing I was turned off with was the fact that no battery was included and it needed a 3-volt battery to run on. I purchased the 3-volt battery at the store and brought it home to find out that I did not have the right battery. As far as I can tell, there are two common sizes for this particular battery. The CR2 was the wrong one and the correct battery was the CR123. At any rate, I purchased a two-pack of these batteries and the nominal cost is about $10 for two. I do not know how long they will last; I suppose it depends on what kind of light you use it in.

It has two buttons, one for on & off; the other is for the infrared. The infrared is only needed if it is very dark. You have to be careful to not have the lens cover removed while it is turned on; if it is in lighted area, this will damage the unit. The lens-cover screws on & off, so if you are not careful, you will lose it. The battery cover is small and rotates on & off. It is recommended that you remove the battery if you are not going to use it for more than 24 hours. This cap looks like it would be easy to lose. If the battery cover is lost, you cannot operate the unit.

The handle is not very well designed. It has a short piece of cord that serves as the hand piece and the buckle that holds it together is also very easy to loose and can loosed very easily.

All in all, the unit works very good, but I only give it three stars because of the three deficiencies listed above.
