We’ve received emails from Muslims recently whose goal
has been to discredit the Bible. Their rationale is
that if they can prove Judeo-Christianity to be
invalid, Islam wins by default. But since they do not
even know their own scriptures, (let alone the Bible),
they fail to realize that by undermining the Bible,
they undermine Islam as well. Muhammad not only
plagiarized the Jewish Scriptures, but he proclaimed
them to be inspired and true.

Therefore, we’ve added two new items to the Resource
page: “Evidences of the Resurrection of Christ,” and
“Eleven More Cleared Up Contradictions of the Bible.”
A third article entitled, “Israel or Palestine? 20
Overlooked Facts” provides interesting data concerning
Israel, “Palestine,” and the current Middle East
situation.

In reality, Muslims revere the bible. But they see the Quran as an updated scripture.

Jesus for example is held in very high regard by Islam.

except in radical islam. the problem is, people see extremists as those who speak for everyone.
muhammed said, 'respect the people of the book, for they are your brothers'. where do the rabid christians insisting islam is satanic bring that up?

You seem to be on some odd mailing lists, Patriot. All I get are breast enlargement pill ads. Is Islamophobic a word?

Those who do it do it for the same reason they drag God's name through the mud with their terror attacks.

ah, you have to understand. the christian bible isn't the real bible, it's a corrupted version.

for example, those stories of Jesus dying are false, in reality, God just "took" jesus up to heaven, and pulled a fast one, changing Judas to look and sound like Jesus, so he was crucified by mistake.

etc. etc.etc.

During the Moorish occupation of Spain in the early part of the Dark Ages, it was seen as a golden age, a vast leap forward in science, math, alchemy (chemistry), philosophy, etc. When the Moors came across from Africa, they gave "People of the Book" (Jews and Christians) unusual clemency, and unparalleled freedom within the great cities of Moorish Spain and North Africa. Many scholars fled the religious oppresssion of Dark Ages Europe for Spain.
But at this point, the Bible represents Western decadence and corruption, Jewish aggression, and is the Book of their enemies. So they separate from it, keeping only what they see as the New Covenant, that between Allah and Mohammed.

Excellent post DM, and right on the money. In fact there have been Jews who returned to the Middle East during different periods of persecution in Europe and found they were welcomed and given refuge and a place to live in peace.

it is indeed, a rather ironic fact that the first jews returning from the diaspora were invited in by the arabs:shrug:
