A Methodist minister who was defrocked for declaring that she’s a lesbian living with her partner is taking her case to a church appeals court.

OK I just got to know. If a minister is defrocked when they stop being a minster does that mean every minister has to be frocked before they can minister, and if that is true did this lesbian minister have a sister do the frocking or what?

That's too bad, she probably made an excellent community minister.
Maybe she can form her own branch or church?

Doesn't everyone who doesn't agree with the main branch just create their own?

 depends on the strength of the movement. when the episcopal church ordained an openly practicing homosexual bishop a significant portion split off. the methodists (fortunately) aren't quite there yet. this will make ripples in a few circles and largely be ignored.
