Texas is a country within a country.
Pray you never wind up in their justice system.

I think we ought to cut off the state of Texas and let them go back to the Lone Star State!
A positive by product would be that W could no longer be president and soil our Constitution any longer!

Yes.I think that it is proof that there are Liberals in texas, but not just any kind liberals, bleeding heart liberals. What lead me to this conclusion was this statement "acted with "sudden passion" and "acted in a blind fury",sounds like a bleeding heart excuse to to keep one from recieving the death penalty.

Get off it. The "bleeding heart liberals" are not responsible for what one jury decides. But you never miss an opportunity to b***h about the liberal conspiracy, do ya?
I do not understand the jurors' rationale that probation was preferable to prison because they did not think the accused could be rehabilitated there. Do they think he can be rehabilited on the outside, where his "sudden passion" might flare again? Maybe they were just plain stupid. This bleeding heart liberal says, throw the book at him. He deserves life, at the least.
Now, it would be a great thing if TX would make life in prison without parole an option. (topic for another thread).
