the pope behaves and speaks as if families were being banned. nothing like that is happening.
it's not a traditional 'marraige'. don't use the word marraige. say 'oh, they have a lifelong gay union.' that is acceptable terminology. this is an issue revolving around terminology rather than substance. you can't stop gays from loving eachother. trying to hold them back in other ways because you can't force them to not exist is just unfair. technically, that is "being a douche".
