For argument’s sake:
The area could be any well to do nation *US, Europe (any of the individual country's), Australia, Canada etc.
There was still a drive to have children, but no physical preferences existed so anyone could technically be a potential candidate physically
The world is in the same state technologically
No economic backlash *Porn and sex industries never existed
Roughly the same morals (Women’s rights are in the same state) *Men don’t hit women, or try to enslave them because their weaker.

How do you think growing up would be different?
How do you think society would differ?
Do you think this would be a positive or negative thing as a whole?

That would be one sad *** world. Sex should be Creational i.e. having babies and umm how should I put it... pleasurable. But I hate, "What If's". Specially people who say that in history. Questions like

"Why didnt Hitler just shoot Chamberlain"
Or "Why didnt Stalin just not purge most of his army generals".

There would be nobody left to tell the tale.

What drive would there be to have children without sexual attraction? I'm always up for a good "What If?", but there needs to be a bit of logic attached to basic assumptions. I can't imagine anyone would care to copulate, especially considering the consequences, without that attraction.

Men would be completely different if they werent trying to impress females all day. Vica versa probably too, I guess I cant really tell though considering ive never been a chick.

What if fish could talk? That'd be great.

There is a growing group calling themselves "asexuals"

If you absolutely, positively, have no desire to have sex, you're not alone, says Sylvia Pagan Westphal.

IT IS an impossibly hot summer evening in St Louis, a city in the American Midwest best known for barbecues and blues music, and I'm driving round the streets of the town's Central West End wondering if this will be known one day as the place where the revolution began. In less than an hour I am to meet its leader, a young man whose face I have never seen though we've been talking for months. I know I shouldn't be this eager to greet him in person, to finally see what he looks like, but then again it's not every day you meet a young healthy man who is 100 per cent uninterested in sex.

This is why I am becoming increasingly convinced that sexuality is not a duality but a continuum. Homosexual one end of the continuum through mildly interested in opposite sex through asexual through to heterosexual and finally trisexual (will try anything sexual)

It is a growing group and in previous years many would have joined religious orders or become the spinsters/bachelors of the village. Now with the internet that is changing.

Sexuality cannot be ignored in humans. It is a major driving force in society, as well as private thought.

Ever observe how 2 blobs of mercury join to form one? The human soul was split into halves, male and female. Only the foolhardy stand in the way of their desire to become one, once again.

The human soul knows it's origins. It will always seek to heal the division.

Men of god would have to invent some other sin.

abuse of sexuality would remain abuse of sexuality; irregardless of level of attraction.

however, this would be a much sadder world.

Then homosexuality must be wrong using the above logic.

I think some of the Shakers were asexual. The only problem was that they had continually find new recruits to keep their numbers up.

Actually, it is your observation that is wrong. :)

You cannot see souls with your physical eyes. Just because someone wears a male body, doesn't mean that the soul inside is the male half.

Have you watched Hedwig and the Angry Inch recently? If not you should. It's an... interesting, movie. Brushes with that sort of thing.

so then a union between a homosexual and a transvestite would be okay; but a union between two men both of whom's soul were men would be wrong?

and how does this handle bisexuals? someone is half and half?

Some one on Religious Forums didn't believe anyone has a soul. So, I bought his soul off him. Is that possible?

Spiritual polarity in and of itself, only attracts opposites. The mind however, likes to attach things to itself as a kind of adornment. The ideas of homosexuality and transvestites are mental creations. They don't have any roots in the spiritual realm.(and therefore do not taint your spiritual self)

Thats what I'm saying that your eyes cannot see the souls themselves. Your eyes are not privvy to that. The ones you have, are connected to your brain/mind. Thats who they talk to. One liar talking to another. :)

You make decisions on a person based upon your physical senses. But there are other senses. Inner vision, second sight, whatever you wish to call it. The polarity of souls, is one of the things inner vision reveals to you.

People often pair up with what seems to be no rhyme or reason. Strange matches, you know. This is where you have to look beyond your senses a little bit. Just beneath the surface are wonderful answers.

Only one of you made any profit. At least he walked away with money in his pocket.

It was more of a joke. No money exchanged hands. I just found it amusing that he was so sure that he didn't have a soul.

yes, but in homosexual unions you have two men who very clearly are sure themselves that they are men; that is Who They Are. if one of them felt like he was actually deep inside a woman; that'd be fine (under your theory); if both of them felt this way, then we have the same problem.

I'm reminded of the Seinfeld episode where George stopped having sex for a month and became "smart" - answering questions on Jeopardy, reading books, doing experiments. Then, after he had sex, he became "dumb" again.
