I remember hearing last year that the Virginia Boyscouts reformed their uniforms to not include the name R.Lee as they traditionally had to honor Robert Lee. Robert Lee was not racist, but it was claimed that having his name on the uniform evoked such hatred. I fear the same will be done to the Pledge of Allegiance and to the dollar bill. These issues may seem small, but it is our history that determines the uniqueness of our culture, and these actions 'cleanse' our history and therefore destroy our culture. Where will it end?

"Cleansing" histrory will always take place. There are people who believe the Holocaust never happen. It will never end. It will end when all people are happy it, which will not happen.

There is most definitely a group who wants to strip America from its moral, religious, and cultural foundations.
Mother always told me to be polite. Most political correctness falls under this heading I think. That said, I am not a fan of the idea. I even once refused to publish one of my articles because they wanted to take a word out of it. I didn't need the money that bad. The word was the point of the article.
It can betaken too far. Certainly. But in most cases, reason prevails. At least I think it still does.;)
