BTK Serial Killer's House Up For Auction

PARK CITY, Kan. (AP) -- The suburban house where Dennis Rader quietly raised his family while terrorizing Wichita as the BTK serial killer was sold at auction Monday for $90,000, far above its assessed value.

The buyers, who declined to identify themselves other than to say that they were real estate investors, said they only hoped that all the proceeds would go to Rader's wife and two grown children.

The bidding, which started at $40,000, was over in about 15 minutes.

I am not proud to say all this happened in my neck of the woods. The local radio station played live coverage of his guilty plea, it lasted maybe two hours. Within that time this sick piece off **** proudly recited in graphic detail all of the murders. Every little detail. I could not believe my ears.

My guess is that it was the first time that anything like this had been done over the airwaves, here is the transcript but be warned do not read unless you want your day ruined.

I have mixed feelings on whether this should have been done live like this, considering the victims families.
