FBI Imposter Shoots, Kills Two Sex Offenders
Roommate Finds Bodies
BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Police in Northwest Washington are searching for a man they say posed as an FBI agent and shot and killed two child rapists.
The victims, Hank Eisses, 49, and Victor Vasquez, 68, were level-three sex offenders.
Police say the suspect was wearing a blue jumpsuit and black baseball cap with an FBI insignia on the front. They believe that he spent more than 2 hours at the house talking to the residents. He told Eisses and Vasquez they were on an Internet hit list.
The suspect was still there when one roommate went to work. When he returned 6 hours later, Eisses and Vasquez were dead.
Investigators are not ruling out vigilante justice.
Neighbors fought hard to keep the men from moving in, but they admit that in the three years they've been there, they've caused no trouble.
"If you're asking me if I've met anybody who is mad enough to do something like this, no. But you never know what's in someone's heart," neighbor Carrie Coleman said.

I agree even though they got what they deserved.

I think it is a little early to call it merely vigilante justice. Whomever this man is, he could have had a real beef with one of these individuals. We don't know yet. If it was merely indescriminate then yes it is vigilante justice. If he had some kind of connection to one of these guys, like say, they raped a family member of dear friend, then it is merely revenge. The former I don't agree with and the latter I can't really rally against because I might under certain circumstances do the same thing. But still too early to determine the motives of the killer. And either way, if it is vigilante justice or merely revenge the guy still is a killer.

it can be good; but those willing to adopt it should also be willing to accept the consequences should they ever be caught.

It is truly a moral conundrum I can't say that I am certainly not going to shed a tear for either of them. But killing is wrong, and it does come with consequences.
It's moral if you wear a really cool costume when you do it.

ah, vigilantism. Brings back memories of the reconstruction era in American history.
That should suffice for my answer.

Cant say that I am against either revenge or vigiliante style justice...As long as your willing to answer to the law when all is done....
I once knew an 11 year old girl, she is no longer here, her killer is no longer here, not because of police but because of what one person thought was justice. In that instance I supported the actions of a man taking justice upon himself, it may be a step down, but when police are unwilling to act (girl was black) well sometimes you have to do it yourself...

Vigilante justice is an oxymoron. It's bad.

I recommend calling yourself the Berserker, and don viking attire with a mask to hide your identity.
As far as a real response to the topic...I'm really not sure what to think. I find it hard to condemn vigilantes, but at the same time they can't act above the law.

Self-styled vigilantes attacked the home of a hospital paediatrician after apparently confusing her professional title with the word "paedophile", it emerged yesterday.
Dr Yvette Cloete, a specialist registrar in paediatric medicine at the Royal Gwent hospital in Newport, was forced to flee her house after vandals daubed it with graffiti in the middle of the night."
