Eeeek!
Country music scares me...and I don't scare easy.
I'm just happy building up to the MTV Europe Music Awards tonight and pondering the eternal question, as posed by Kylie and Pink...
Why is Dave Grohl so hot?
Mmmm

If not for this thread, I would not even know they still existed.

A British rock/blues album that got to number 1 in 1999, was recorded entirely on 8 track.
Actually it would have been good to see the tribute to Johnny Cash. And no matter what style of music you prefer two things are undeniable:
1. He contribute heavily to Country and rock music in America.
And
2. His redition of the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt" was inspired at any age, but considering his health and age, you have to be impressed.
I grew up listening to and singing his songs. Wish I'd caught the tribute.

Agreed.
Johnny Cash was out there on his own.
I've got a hilarious cover he did of Dylan's 'It Ain't Me Babe'. Hilarious because he sings it sooo deep and I love watching people struggling to sing along to it.
He also did some very interesting collaberations just before his death.

"I wonder if people still use 8 tracks!"
I happened to run onto a large "yard sale" in Montalba, Texas. CA would know where that is. They happened to have a bunch of eight track tapes there and I wondered at the time what in the world would anyone want with them?
Anyone know?

JD3, CMT is airing a Johnny Cash tribute Sunday, Nov. 16. Not sure of the time though.
Thanks, I'll check into it.:)
