Jesus Christ the Son of God didn't come to judge us but to save us so that we can go to heaven instead of hell when we die.

Nobody knows exactly when they are going to die this is why you need to make Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior today.

You may die in a traffic accident or some other way before you get another chance to be saved.

You need to make Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior so that you will go to heaven instead of hell when you die.

The graphic reports of hell in the Holy Bible such as the abyss, the lake of fire, the blackest darkness, the weeping and gnashing of teeth, disclose the stark reality of a place eternally separated from the love of God. (Rev. 9:1-11) (Rev. 20:14) (Jude 13) (Matt. 25:30)

Many people wrongly think that being a good person will get them into heaven.

Because the Son of God flawlessly obeyed God’s moral law in our place, He is uniquely qualified to be our Savior. On the cross, Jesus Christ offered Himself to the Father(God) as a sinless sacrifice for sinners.

Jesus Christ took the punishment for our sins so that we can live forever in heaven when we die if we simply make him our personal Lord and Savior.

Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, Israel about 2000 years ago and lived a sinless life for 33 years. He was beaten, crowned with thorns, nailed to a cross and then he died and was buried.

Three days later God raised him from the dead proving that he was who he claimed to be, the Son of God.

This historical event was witnessed by many people before Jesus Christ went back to heaven. (Acts 13:30-32)

The Holy Bible describes heaven as a beautiful place with no death, sickness, sorrow or pain. (Revelation 21:3-4)

The Holy Bible says "If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

If you would like God to forgive you so that you will go to heaven when you die just say a meaningful prayer like the one below and God will hear you and save you:

Dear Jesus Christ, I want to make you my personal Lord and Savior right now. Please forgive me of all my sins or things that I have done wrong in my life. I believe you are Lord and that God raised you from the dead. I thank-you for shedding your sinless blood and dying on the cross for my sins so that I can have a home in heaven. Amen.

If you just now made Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior you are now a true Christian and welcome to the family of God.

Now that you are saved you should strive to live a Godly life because now you represent Jesus Christ.

You should also find a church to attend on Sundays and if they say that you need to do more to go to heaven than what you have already done then leave and find a real Christian church in your area if possible.

I found this great Bible website where you can look-up the Bible verses that I used in this message.

I just learned from a reliable source that there is no heaven. It was all a big con.

Why don't you guys just ignore it then? The guy posted something you don't believe, but the poster has good intentions. Does that have to be repayed with derogatory remarks?

I do not agree that his intentions are good.

I feel the same way about people that use internet message boards to spread commercial spam.

He's a salesman.

So it's bad intentions for somebody to want you to be in heaven versus hell after you die? I know you don't believe in it, but your argument is based on his intentions and his understanding of what heaven and hell is confirms that he has good intentions for you, not the other way around.

Now, if having the same understanding of heaven and hell and he wanted you to consider XYZ so that you would go to hell, then that would be bad intentions.

I do not consider extortion an ethical marketing tactic.

You do not know what I believe, and what I don't. I'll give you a clue. See my comment above.

No god that uses extortion as a marketing tactic is worthy of worship or respect.

Don't get a sprain patting yourself on the back. The mods didn't like my comment, so they deleted it. Seems you proselytizers need protection these days.

When fundamentalists come to knock on my door, I turn the garden hose on them. I tell them it is a reverse baptism and they have to go back and do it again.

I ****ing hate girl scouts too.

Personally I tell them that I am a founding member of the Solipsistic Society of Puritanical Perfunctory Panthieists. If they actully unglaze thier look enough to go further I launch into a diatribe on the fundamental metaphysical principles of Solipsism - that you are the only certainty in the universe and all else is imagination.

Faith is believing what you know aint so. Mark Twain. One of my all-time favorite quotes. Whether you agree with Twain's outlook or not, he had an endearing folksy way of expressing himself.

I do not consider extortion an ethical marketing tactic.Fair enough, but I don't think you can apply that to most prosyletizers (sp?) unless you have special knowledge that they don't really believe what they teach.

Why don't you guys just ignore it then? The guy posted something you don't believe, but the poster has good intentions. Does that have to be repayed with derogatory remarks?Because the religious begged admin/mods to force us to always be together in a single religious forum when I tried to promote a special forum for believers only? The religious either did that or ignored my valid request.

I can't answer for everyone, but that's definitley MY answer. So just enjoy the diverse exchange, NotM, that's the way julierep and co. want it. :sorry:

Look - I have no problem at all with the average Christian. But people who try to recruit you into their religion by threatening you with punishment are morally suspect at least.

Once again, I have to drag out the candy store story: Two little boys are in a candy store. The clerk turns his back for a moment, and the boys, who have no money are tempted to steal some candy from the counter.

Which boy is truly moral? The one that refrains from stealing out of fear of being caught and punished, or the one that refrains from stealing because he knows it is wrong and would be a harm to the clerk?

Which boy are you, or the initiator of this thread?

I don't need the threat of punishment to tell me what is wrong and what is right.

I have to absolutely agree (shock  ) Theatening is not a good basis for a solid foundation. Fear subsides and then what do you have?
I do believe there is punishmnet but lean towards the idea that the descriptions should be more of a motivation for Christians not as a club to hold over a non christian's head.there should be no delight intelling someone they are going to Hell. That is a curse of the highest degree.I certainly would not wish that on anyone nor make light of it.
