Found a link from your post.
I flashed back to the guy who made a fortune knocking rock music as the "Devils Music." (http://objective.jesussave.us/zounds.html)
Lemme tell ya folks...there is some DYNAMITE rock and roll coming out of the christian sector. It ain't just for Sunday anymore. You all KNOW I ain't no religious freak but I have to give props to the music quality of these christian rockers.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry... seeing stupid, uneducated adults is one thing...but seeing them brainwash their kids is truly sad.

Well, as Atheists are being persecuted, we deserve this good laugh.

What is the problem? I thought these were creative projects .

Have you actually read what they did?
It's pretty funny. And people wonder why few take religious people even remotely serious. It's stuff like this that makes you guys look like babbling fools.

Even as an atheist, I feel a need to defend at least a part of the religious community by pointing out that this doesn't represent all Christians. I know Christians that don't deny the existence of evolution. I'm not sure what percentage of Christians the mentality shown at this science fair makes up...but I know it's not all of them.

Again ,what is the problem? Be specific if you can.

the fact that they are awarding this type of thinking is appalling but also hysterical. The fact that they think they are doing scientific studies is just hilarious.
"The Bible Says Creation" - Aaron Kent (grade 5)
"Pokemon Prove Evolutionism Is False" - Paul Sanborn (grade 4)
AHAHHAHAHAHAH. Seriously. That's funny.
the Middle School Level is even more funny then the lower school.
the High School Level is even more of a joke.

Oh it does represent all of christianity. Same bible, same basic beliefs, only they realize that science and religion cannot coincide and actually make a direct choice and stick with it, that being religion. Most christians just like to allow evolution to drift through their heads, maybe semi-believe it, but when it comes down to the existence of god, they agree, but they never really allow for links between things like evolution to the bible's text, therefore, avoiding the bible.

I love the person who put charcoal, water, and vitamins and a jar and waited three weeks to see if life would evolve. I guess they forgot that Phosphorous and Sulfur are neccessary for many organic compounds, and that the whole concept of spontanteous generation reuqires lightning. This isn't just bad science, this is horrible science.

Yeah I LOVED that one too. By far my favorite one. I feel for those children, it's not their fault, but rather their parent's parent's parent's parent's parent's... (and on and on..) fault.

Not going anywhere for a while? Snickers! Thanks renegade for providing the whole recipe for life generation , now everybody will be doing it!

actually the chemicals necessary for life can't exactly be found at the local market. Many of them are extremely acidic and are not sold to end user consumers.
Not to mention few people have generators capable to producing lightning strength bolts into a chemical soup for 4 weeks.

2nd Place: "Women Were Designed For Homemaking"
Jonathan Goode (grade 7) applied findings from many fields of science to support his conclusion that God designed women for homemaking: physics shows that women have a lower center of gravity than men, making them more suited to carrying groceries and laundry baskets; biology shows that women were designed to carry un-born babies in their wombs and to feed born babies milk, making them the natural choice for child rearing; social sciences show that the wages for women workers are lower than for normal workers, meaning that they are unable to work as well and thus earn equal pay; and exegetics shows that God created Eve as a companion for Adam, not as a co-worker.
seems like the kids are just showing common sense to me.... dont' know why everyone is so upset....
:D
lol, seriously, you do have some hard-core conservative christians who go into this stuff; it's true that most of them are less-educated, but there are alot of intellgent people involved as well. (i think my favorite was "my uncle steve, who is not a monkey") however, they make up the minority of christians; and evaluating the christian community overall by these folks is rather like evaluating all american political parties by looking solely at the Green Party.

I watched this thread develop for a little while. Long enough for the atheists here to have a chance to have a good laugh at Christians. But it's time to pop the bubble. "Objective: Christian Ministries" is a parody.
I especially liked reading all the talk about this on such colorful sites as:
The Raving Atheist
The Pagan Prattle
religionisbull****.com
It was the seething hatred by atheists towards Christians that helped me understand why you post this. You believe people with faith are below contempt, so below the plane you exist on that Christians, in your eyes, are waste.
http://urbanlegends.about.com/b/a/2003_08.htm
A Hotbed of Anti-Triclavianism
Objective: Christian Ministries...may may seem real on first viewing, but in fact it's a spoof.
http://www.nickbarlow.com/blog/2003_05_11_archive.html
The OBJECTIVE: Christian Ministries...it's a parody, but an extremely good one and harder to spot outright as one than Landover Baptist - kind of like the 'Net Authority' that fooled me (and a few other people) a few years ago.
I wanted to get really angry in this post but I can't muster it. I am instead just really, really sorry for you all, Christian and Atheist alike, who thought this was real. But it helped me get a better perspective on what it is atheists really think about Christians. Behind the tacit engagement on topics here, the prime motivation is to make Christians look like fools.
I hope other posters remember that when they engage you in debate. And why not one of you mentioned it's a satire in your posts as a testament to your value on truth.
beg your pardon

I figured the site was a joke. Some of the pics look photoshopped. Its scary thinking there are actually people like this out there though. *looks around*

alright it's a parody. But a extremely funny one.
The reason it's funny is that the expirements aren't that farfetched for fundementalists.

the fact that much of those "expirements" wouldn't be challenged by fundementalists makes me laugh at organized religion as a whole.

.. I am Anti-Christian.. why don't you send me to a goddamn camp if you care. Christianity defies the 10 commandments it suggests.. Christianity is evil, as are all religions. Religions promote categorizing of human beings.. that is sickening.

A parody of a parody (Landover) is a new one. I wonder how much work went into this. This is my favorite from the Landover site.

I am religious but I take no responsibility for those idiots and their "science" fair. As a matter of fact, I don't like associating with christians. NO where in the bible does it say that God didn't use evolution as his way to create the earth. I also can't find any spot in the bible where it says women need to work at home. As for christian rock, I hear it on almost all the secular radio stations now.
