Defending the Creationist Sigline!

I recently saw this howler of a sigline being bandied about by a fairly confused and frustrated creationist:

"That a car exists is not in any way evidence that somebody made it. It is only evidence that it exists." -Atheist Lawyer.

I figured if it's good enough to serve as a virtual bumper sticker, it's good enough to serve as a topic of discussion.

If a valid comparison is to be drawn between man-made objects and creation itself, then we need to see some evidence of the hypothetical super-powerful creator. Let's begin with planet Earth. What part of it's existence points to a creator? How do you propose we dust for God's fingerprints?

To play devil's advocate (God's advocate?), I'd say the biggest thing would be that if the laws of the universe were minisculely different that things could not exist.

Of course on the flip side, I'm not sure why there should be a reason that the laws could be any other way.

How about begining with my sigline and disproving that it is not a correct statement. Of course you don't want to do that, because it would then disprove the statement when "car" is replaced by "earth".
