Jackson, 48, will receive the Diamond Award for his contribution to music. Actress Lindsay Lohan will host the ceremony in London on 15 November.

The award honours artists who have sold more than 100 million albums. Previous recipients include Mariah Carey.

Jackson has lived in the Middle East since being acquitted of child abuse charges in 2005...

Awards go for about $2000-$3000 apiece in food industry, beer awards and such. In music industry they are probably more expensive, but not by much.

Please. The guy made 1 great, and 2 decent, albums 20 years ago, and the real credit for those should go to Quincy Jones.

Seriously never thought of that, but it's so true!

And as far as talent, that went out the window long ago.

Roman Polansky still has talent, even though he's on exile for diddling a girl some thirty years ago. Jackson no longer has talent. He has severe mental issues and no one around him who will tell him to get help.
