Lousiana Political Blunders

I heard today that Louisana has done it again. I couldn't believe it when Ray Nagin was reelected as New Orleans mayor. They obviously didn't learn anything from his brilliant performance during Katrina. Now they have gone another step down the road to the funny farm. They elected William Jefferson! The same William Jefferson who was caught with $90,000. in bribes hidden in his office freezer. They keep electing idiots and criminals and wonder why their state is in such a mess. Apparently they don't have enough prisons and mental hospitals in Lousiana, so they elect the overflow..

The big surprise would have been if he hadn't won the election. It's a qualifying requirement of Louisiana politicians that they be certified crooks. Only in New Jersey do they exceed Louisiana's crookedness. He'll probably be the next governor.
