WASHINGTON (AP) - A judge ruled Monday that no pair of pants is worth $54 million, rejecting a lawsuit that took a dry cleaner's promise of "Satisfaction Guaranteed" to its most litigious extreme.

Agreed there has to be some recourse to prevent vexatious litigation.

I don't know.... Maybe the pants had sentimental value. I treasure the first pair of pants I talked my wife out of when we were dating. They're priceless, irreplaceable...

Those poor folks will not have won until the reprehensible judge who sued them is forced to pay for tens of thousands in legal expenses they have incurred. Sure, he'll just declare bankruptcy... but they can follow him the rest of his life, and garnish every paycheck he ever earns.
This man is totally disgusting. How he can even look at himself in the mirror without puking astounds me.

Ditto. Why this wasn't thrown out in the first place is beyond me.

Ditto. Why this wasn't thrown out in the first place is beyond me.This is the kind of case that gives frivolous lawsuits a bad name.
