(AP) MORGANTOWN, W.Va. To the disappointment of school administrators -- and the pride of some students -- West Virginia University is No. 1 on The Princeton's Review's annual list of the top 20 party schools.

The school has made the list seven times in the past 15 years, despite efforts to curb underage drinking and rowdy behavior.

But not since 1997 have the Mountaineers taken the top spot. Last year, WVU was No. 3, bested by the University of Texas at Austin and Penn State, both of which remain in the top 10 this year.

At the other end of the partying spectrum is Brigham Young University, claiming the top spot in the "Stone Cold Sober" category for the 10th straight year.

I read that McGill in Montreal made Playboy's Top 10 Party Schools in North America, the first Canadian school to make the list. Too bad I won't be going there :(

£3000 a year for fees. Well, a bit more with interest. Then an extra bit each year for living. I'm guessing £20,000 debt by the end of it. And I might sound like a real bore, but if all I want to do is drink and party, I don't see why I'd choose to pay £3000 a year to pay for lectures and stuff that I won't go to. I could take a gap year and party if I wanted, and not pay any fees. So when people say things like "I don't really study, I just go out all the time, and in lectures I just sit and think about what I'll do that day" I wonder why they're bothering to go to university and get all that debt. Obviously they'll get a degree at the end of it but if they're not interested in working at all they won't do too well.

SB coming in at #10.

Definitely a party town. Always has been. Something like the first 48 of 52 business licenses issued back int he day were for establishments selling liquor.

And premium weed too. There is a massive underground market in this town. Not to mention ten shops in town sell it. One opened up right above a Mexican restaurant I have been going to since I was a kid. It's kind of convenient. Weed. Food. Whatta ya want. These so-called "dispensaries" have been sprouting up all over town. The city council just passed a law putting a moratorium on the opening of new shops so they can get a handle on the situation. This last year the law has pulled in more outdoor crops than any other year. I can't imagine how pounds of weed is smoked in this town every month.

So, there is plenty of fuel for the fire.

Isla Vista is a small town beside the university. It used to go freaking ballistic on Halloween. People from other cities would pour in. The streets full of people and everybody just ****ing hammered. Then the law cracked down and it pretty much sucks now. But it still rocks compared to most other places! Any given weekend you can find parties all over IV and plenty of stus to beat up and drink their beer. Many a good fight goes on.

Yes, i used to behave this way. We used to pick fights with students, and with the military boys from the local base.

But I was an adolescent moron, as is anyone who behaves like this. Bullying little jerkoffs. (To be fair, so were the military boys. Bullying little cowards jacked up on testosterone and groupthink. Not the students, though--they were mostly innocent victims).

I reformed myself. I grew up.
