It sounds absolutely moronic. I enjoyed the old GI Joe comics just because they were so shamelessly hokey. It was like reading Golden Age Superman with even more nationalistic overtones. Rare for me to agree with Joe but GI Joe needs to be ***-kicking American mo-fo.

Well no. Not quite a valid comparison. Captain America frequently works with international heroes and does it happily. Hes not an arrogant soloist American. Hes the kind of American who makes other people love Americans.
