Can you summarize what this link points to so I don't have to click it and submit myself to some stupid tirade, silly joke, or other waste of time?

No. Sometimes time is worth wasting.

I wouldn't have suggested trusting me in the first place.
You didn't ask, however.

Sounds like something created by Dawkins himself.

That is deeply amusing, in a tongue-in-cheek sort of way. Thank you for sharing. ;) There's nothing like just taking "Bible-believing Christians" at their own words!...

Glad I could humor you. Although sadly, there are some Christians who WOULD give that response, not realizing that it is no response to atheists who do not accept the Bible in the first place.

Sorry, Cedars, I didn't mean to be responding to you; I was thanking Ethos for the OP. That said, I have no problem with you believing whatever you choose, but I'm glad you're self-aware enough about it to appreciate the irony in the video...

There was so much circular logic in that video I damn near fell off my chair from dizziness at the end of it all........:D

A slightly longer, but still excellent presentation by the same individual, concerning creationism (among other things).

My apologies too. I wasn't really sure if your comment was directed to me or not, but I answered anyway (I DID have tongue in cheek)!

You know, it’s actually kind of interesting, this video. It is obvious the video’s creator did not bother to learn the opposing argument (certainly, perhaps some people have erroneously presented it thus – but if so, he never bothered to research it any further then). It is just spewing back what the video’s creator THINKS the argument for Christianity is. The video offers no answers itself, only satire.
Atheism seems to not allow free-thinking. If a freethinker thinks himself into religion. then he is rated a renegade and apostate. He is free to think atheism, but not free to think theism.

This is an odd formulation. What do you mean by "allows"? If an atheist decides that he does believe in God, he is no longer an atheist. If A Christian decides he no longer believes in Christ, he is no longer a Christian.

Yes, a person can be spiritual without following a particular religion. Plenty of people are.

Athiests aren't the one who have their morals and lives dictated by an old book. We think for ourselves and question things we don't think add up. ie. god exists because the bible said so, hmmm i read a book called Harry Potter I guess he exists too right?

Why is it atheists, who try to claim the intellectual high ground, consistently show an astounding idiocy like the guy in the video?

For the same reason theists, who try to claim the moral high ground, consistently show an astounding lack of morals?
Or perhaps the same reason people ask questions they don't really want answered.

Atheists can be idiots too, you know. It's not like the religious have that sewn up.
I do take exception to the statement that atheists "consistently" are idiotic.

I take exception to the idea that the individual who created the video is in fact "idiotic" in this context. I found it to be quite clever and entertaining. I expect most of us are aware of the caricaturized nature of his film, although ironically enough there seem to be plenty of people (both atheist and theist)who took him quite seriously.
I find it hard to believe this kind of satirical humor is beyond the grasp of someone who enjoys "insult comics" enough to reference them in other threads.

Some of it is funny, but for the most part it's all rather lame and unfunny. The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, now that's funny and isn't as idiotic.

I suppose I fail to understand how something being "mostly unfunny" qualifies it as idiotic.
I agree with your assessment of the FSM however.

It has nothing to do with being unfunny, though that doesn't help it. However satire is not just to entertain, but criticize. Had it been funnier I may have overlooked the idiocy of it as I often do with other forms of satire, but it wasn't.
The criticism was just idiotic.

Most of the criticism is the same old schlock you hear from the run-of-the-mill critic of Christianity and it's not even as good as most of the common criticism.

Repetition, however banal it may be, is not idiocy. Your response to the question is not an answer.
