You, RJAM in glorious So. Cal., can name your Teddy bear as you see fit. I prefer the slightly twee end of the spectrum, eg. Mr Pooky.
I guess that if you didn't tell your bears name to any religious zealots you could call it what you liked in Sudan as well.

Ah! I'll take that under advisement. (good thinking there, Rid)
However, I will have to deal with my conscience. I think I'd feel so dishonest keeping secrets from my zealot neighbors...
...WHY must life be so difficult!:(

"Allah" is a nice short name, but I don't have teddybears.
Well, "free speech" rules in So Calif, I'll name my dog "Analise Mary".

I would think that a wise and benevolent deity would overlook what stayed between a Man and his bear, RJ. However I am uninformed as to theology and Fabric Americans. I shall investigate further.:flowers:

RJAM: Problem solved, man No more useful-idiot-for-Satan Teddy Bears! (http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/toying-with-belief-holy-war-of-the-dolls-is-declared/2007/11/30/1196394625568.html)
the Jesus doll — which quotes the world's favourite Bible verse, John 3:16 — is virtually sold out already. The next most popular figures are Moses and Mary, who are part of the Messengers of Faith series, along with Peter, Paul, David, Esther and Noah (about $22 each).

There is no "o" in Muhammad, so muhommad is probably ok.

I used to have a cat named Mephistopheles. He earned his name by being the orneriest little kitten I'd ever seen. My current feline companion is named Loki for much the same reason. Do you suppose that might insult the Norse? I'd better watch my back, huh?
