View Full Version : In the heart of all religion

The heart of religion is this, whether through violence or peace, that all exterior and nearly all interior forces within the Earth realm are corrupted, unfair and seeking our demise as spiritualess beings, yet it is up to us to adopt or conceive of the focus and determination to not only overcome life's filial negative energy, but to enter a place within our souls that it becomes irrelevant and useless, and then there is only Light and purity.

I want to know what you think the main theme of religion is, not one spefically, but what valid reasons other then authority, could such practices have dirived? Tell me now, how are we not seeds of God? For we hold within our own spirits, the Father's vision for the Kingdom of Light.

"all exterior and nearly all interior forces within the Earth realm are corrupted"

I don't completely agree with that. I can't explain it in any length here, but if you would like some interesting reading, try "Crossing the Threshold of Hope" by Pope John Paul II. How could the love that God created be corrupted?

Because friend, it is not purely "God's" love, it is our form of his love, in his image, tainted by the Earth and by our lust for ourselves. The Earth is but a school and we ourselves are destined to either embark on infinite human appareances in which we can't accept this notion, or in which we ascend ourselves with our own Kingdom as God.
The cycle is like this:
Light
Elecricity
Cell
Animal
Man
God

It gets misread and misinterpreted, and becomes something else. Compassion is replaced by eye for an eye mentality that leads to hate. Perspective is lost.

But there still exists a force that is God's love that can be seen across the world every day. People lay down there lives for others, and there is no greater or more pure love than that.

In my opinion, it is the promise of an after life. Inherently, all humans fear the unknown. We all, whether we admit it or not, fear death. I certainly do. The belief in an afterlife helps takes the sting out of death.

The problem is that you have to truly convince yourself of the myth in order for it to be effective. It's easy to lie to others but quite a task to lie to one's self. But some folks are able to do it. I, for one, cannot.

not really, the concept of an afterlife is only developed in the extreme rudimentary within old judaism, for example; and within christianity is is more of an aside. the problem is that people get so hung up on it because some idiots try to use "scare tactics" to reach people. ultimately i don't believe in a heaven or hell so much as i believe in someone i know.

what a load , I'm sorry you fell life is a big nasty bowl of crap .

but negative forces ?

let me say MY religion does not subscribe too such ideas . we love life and except the two great forces ying and yang , positive and negative . as part of natural existence .

to reject one is to reject both .

That's an interesting philosophy, but pessimistic. I think people can strive for perfection. In reality it doesn't happen, but I think there is potential in people to be good. I try to live my life that way.

look at New York , they had a reputation of cold self concerned ***'s , yet look at 9/11 they really showed how much they cared . like the worlds biggest small town .

striving is the path . but perfection? Hel Gods not perfect.

As long as you are in the earthly, physical realm, you will have duality. Yin & Yang, light and dark, good and evil, etc.

It is the nature of this place. But outside the physical plane, this is unknown. It is a difficult concept for a mind to grasp. Thats the reason your mind stays behind when you depart this life.

You have to understand that this life is a learning place. Since our human minds cannot understand anything but duality, thats how our existance here is structured.

Duality exists because we need a way to compare things in order to judge their worth. We must weigh one thing against another.

That is how we learn. Singularity is unknown except but to some very spiritually advanced people. There is an old saying that only a mystic can understand another mystic. Its true. They have learned to to separate mind and soul. Thats what yoga means. Its the untieing of the knot that binds the two together.

Its at that moment, when you realize the "oneness" of everything.

You'll never be the same person afterward.

I think people can strive for perfection. In reality it doesn't happen,

No truer words were ever spoken. But we must remember, it's the journey that is important, not so much the destination.

Keep the faith gopman. I, myself, am on a similar journey to make myself a better man today than I was yesterday, and an even more better man tomorrow.

If you want to see God, pay no attention to the sideshows along the way.

Their sole purpose is to slow your progress.

This includes the opposite sex.

You can take the long path, or the short path. You have the freedom to choose. Only you will know what your path is. No other person can tell you this, though many will try.
