FOX News Doctors NY Times Photos
By David Knowles

Fox News has sunk to a new low. On Wednesday, the network displayed photos that its editors had doctored of two New York Times employees--reporter Jacques Steinberg, and editor Steven Radcliffe. Media Matters has graciously provided us with the before-and-after evidence showing that Fox purposefully yellowed Steinberg's teeth, widened his nose and chin, and photo-shopped his ears stick out further.
...
I know this is outrageous to some but I think we can assume at least some of FoxNews programming is more in the realm of Howard Stearn than strict news. This seems very appropriate for a show anchored by Doocy and Kilmeade. But if we take it for what it is, it's really a crackup to see a national rated show do such truly dumb stuff. Obviously, some people (the entire team behind the show) never grow up. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
 :laughter: :rocking:

NEW YORK — Forget about that quadrennial blood feud known as the U.S. presidential election. In New York, at least, the most intriguing tussle between left and right in recent days doesn't centre on Barack Obama or John McCain, but on a pair of media organizations – The New York Times and Fox News – that wield considerable political clout in their own right.
Detractors of Fox, America's No. 1 cable news network, have always complained that it twists the truth, refracting people and events through a conservative prism until they acquire the distortions of a fun house mirror.
These criticisms, of course, are metaphors – or at least they were until a week ago, when a Fox program aired unflatteringly altered photographs of two New York Times staffers whose work had raised the broadcaster's hackles.
The doctored pictures, which weren't identified as such to viewers, have stirred a froth about journalistic ethics in media circles here, pitting liberal-minded broadsheet against populist network in a conflict that bears all the scars and sniping of a political race.

I haven't read any of Fox' actual articles on the "feud" with NYT. But, giving them the benefit of doubt, could it be their reports are generaly straightforward but only the pictures are doctored for the mere sake of laughs?
I mean, the photos are soooo bafoonish and obvious, perhaps they were (immaturely) just trying to get the Times staff' goat. I know their morning show is rather clownish.

So, now that we know Iran doctored the photos of their missile launches to make it look like they tested more missiles than they actually did - can we now compare Fox News to Iran?
They're each using the same tactics!!!

No, because they are doing it for different reasons. I mean, I highly doubt Iran did it to clown around!?!?
