World news agencies and media don't report it, but it happened. In a break between between the basketball match Croatia-Australia, and USA-China, a serious international incident took place.

Under the VIP box, a fight erupted between Bush's security goons and Chinese policemen. Antun Vrdoljak, Croatian basketball coach happened to be there:

"It was a real fight, and no blows had been spared. American security was especially aggressive. At one moment they pressed me against the wall. I presented my International Olympic Committee ID to one of them, and said: 'I've always been anticommunist, but with behavious such as this, you'll soon make a communist out of me.'

They honoured the ID, but they never excused themselves properly."

The incident took place before Bush entered the premises. His bodyguards obviously forgot they are not in one of their banana republics, and tried to make a bit too much order in a place, for which Chinese policemen and security personel was responsible.

It looks like diplomats of both sides decided to cover up the incident, because Chinese-American relations are bad enough as it is.

I doubt there will ever be anything about this in US/English media. If I ever came across English version of this article, I'll post it, I promise.
