Last night KO had a good point with his pompous 'Special Comment' (Yeah, real special).
He ended the rant calling out McCain's claim that he knows how to capture or kill OBL, saying, "Well?! if you know how, then why are you holding it over our heads until we make you President?!!"
Good point. But only while I can't clearly recall just how the Senator actually meant his claim. But the zany Left really ought to jump on this one.
Sorry, too busy to get a link, but if I don't I'm sure someone will.
Later.

I saw that; it was a good argument.
"Well, Senator McCain, if you know how to get binLaden and are not telling us, you are aiding and abetting the enemy! Or are you instead trying to blackmail the American people: Vote for me and I'll tell you how to get him?"

It was a decent point. If he could only pull it off while not looking like he is about to froth at the mouth.
He is all right and is a bit entertaining. Because I love anyone that sticks it too O'reilly. But he really needs to let up on trying to be Edward R. Murrow. I mean really needs to let up on that.

There's a good New Yorker article on Olberman around somewhere. He has got a healthy ego, one might say.
Good point about McCain though, He probably has his research team trying to find 'The Gates of Hell' on Google Earth so things aren't progressing all that well.

How is this any different when Obama (any politician) tells us they have a plan to fix the economy, terrorism, war, tax system, unemployment, etc., without any specific details. Are they blackmailing us by not telling? It seems to me McCain is doing what politicians do.

That is my main problem with Olbermann. He does not come off authentic to me at all. I always say he is overly melodramatic. But then I always have a problem with anyone who speaks with such vitriol. So much anger over an American politician is simply neurotic. And in his case, probably somewhat insincere, or better said...faked.

I think it's a bit different when there are people dying. If you know something that can save lives now and are being silent, that's a bit different than saying "I will fix the economy."
Of course, the key here is that no one seriously believes McCain has any plan whatsoever as to get binLaden, who he will "follow to the gates of Hell" but not to the border of Pakistan.

I don't know about that. I intensely hate Bush and Cheney. But I have lost friends over there. But I am not sure he has or anything. It could very well be rage and actual but who knows. I do know that man is very liberal.

Simply because Rush delivers his statements authentically. He speaks in natural tones. KO comes off very contrived, to me anyway.
