Useless Holiday

Columbus Day ??? Why :confused:

No mail delivery today --- banks were closed --- what a lousy reason to slow down the economy for just another day.

At least on most other holidays folks plan to go places and spend money to stimulate the economy!

truthfully, I forgot it even was Columbus Day until I realized there wasn't any mail. Here in NYC, probably 80% or more of us work anyway, it's just the government, banks and schools that shut down.
